However, when products are used, there are often a series of problems, such as the interface rubber core is worn, the product is deformed under the condition of external force extrusion, the product is easily deformed when it is pulled by external force during work, and the sleeve and insulating core of the product are prone to cracks. Moreover, the length of commonly used USB interface products is too long, and the production and assembly process is relatively complicated.
For waterproof TYPE-C female terminal above Grade 7, it is necessary to make a sealing shape around its sleeve. However, due to the current stamping manufacturing technology, it is difficult to form a complex multi-step curved surface shape for this sleeve, and because of its structural characteristics, it is necessary to insert the tongue, then fix it and seal the gap with sealant. When the tongue piece is stressed heavily, the glue will loosen when it retreats, and the sealing performance will be destroyed, which can not meet the waterproof requirements.
Waterproof TYPE-C seal also uses a liquid epoxy thermosetting adhesive. Some people may ask, why not use silicone? Although silicone has good temperature resistance after curing, RTV and thermosetting type will not explain their advantages and disadvantages one by one. Two-component vulcanization type may pass the test, but for TYPE-C with more needles or denser needles, the glue is difficult to distribute evenly, the two-component operability is inflexible, the hardness after curing is low and the mechanical strength is poor. One-liquid epoxy black glue does not need to be mixed, its viscosity is easy to adjust, and its permeability is strong, which ensures that every needle of TYPE-C has glue, which can realize high-speed spraying and dispensing and improve production efficiency.
